Slow Transitions
I’ve been transitioning to my spring wardrobe early this year, but then again I do this every year because I am so anxious for the beginning of my favorite season. But with record snow in the month of February and probably more on the way for the month of March it’s not quite practical enough to wear full-on spring clothes. I am trying to layer my favorite spring pieces. But this time of year is always one of the toughest time periods for me because I am always anxious for winter to be over with and my fuel for creativity kind of dwindles with the bitter cold and desolate scenery. This probably means I am not meant to live in Colorado much longer because there is always a lot of snow throughout spring. And I would so much rather live in a place where the flowers are starting to bloom now.

Clothes That Fuel My Creativity
But there are still a lot of sunny days here. I try to embrace and celebrate warm days when they are here. But I am always daydreaming of the warmer months and destinations full of flowers. This is certainly the best time of year to travel and get inspired and recharged by new scenery. Like going to one of these places on my list of Spring Destinations to See In Full Bloom. As far as my style mood and spring wardrobe go. I become fueled by all the pictures of nature that I find online. And in my own backyard like this magnificent scenery here at Red Rocks. I try to invest in natural spring colors that fuel my creativity and keep my mood up even if it looks and feels like winter outside.

Second Hand Doen Sweater
I was wanting to add more Alpaca to my wardrobe and have been lacking in the sweater department. So when I saw this Doen sweater on eBay I thought it would be the perfect addition to my wardrobe. It matches my spring color palette. The peachy/blush tone matches my mood perfectly but it is still practical for the cold winter weather that we are having here in Colorado. I love the unique braided knit pattern and I can see myself wearing this neutral tone in so many ways. It was nice to invest in a second-hand Doen sweater because it is a really quality made sweater at a fraction of the price. I will certainly be purchasing more sustainable brands this way.
Must Have Sustainable Spring Denim
White denim is essential for any spring wardrobe and I was on the hunt for the perfect pair for a while now. I have one pair that is cropped and has a scalloped
Whenever I make the choice to buy something new and invest in quality clothes I look for the hemp option first because it is much more sustainable than cotton and not as wrinkle-prone as linen. Hemp clothing brands can be hard to find in the United States and I hope that starts changing soon. But Australia has many brands that design with this versatile fabric. And I am so glad I bought these jeans because they are the perfect design with a longer fit. And there is nothing more comfortable than hemp and organic cotton blend. These will be getting a lot of wear for spring and summer. And I hope to invest in more colors of this design soon.
