Thrifting for Spring
I decided to browse a local Goodwill last weekend. I wanted to see if I could find anything on my spring wardrobe wish list and save some money at the same time. Whenever I have an impulse or need to add something to my wardrobe I have been trying to get into the habit of checking the local thrift shops and buy something second hand so I can save more of my money on experiences, not things.
I have been on the hunt for more unique colors to add to my wardrobe like spring green, yellow, red, and tangerine. I own a ton of white and blue. So I have been trying to resist buying these colors so I can start adding more variety to my wardrobe. I realized that I don’t own a lot of tops in solid colors, mostly white or a floral print.

Spring Green Trend
After quickly rummaging through the racks of clothes I found this spring green top. I lucked out with finding a trendy style green to add to my wardrobe. There is actually a lot of fun colors to look through at

Re-styling My Gal Meets Glam Dress
I decided to style my new top in a fun way by layering it with one of my favorite Gal Meets Glam dresses I bought last summer. The full skirt, high neck, and pink and white stripe print really make it a fun dress for spring. When I paired it with the green top I knew I wanted to tie a knot for a more casual style and the whole outfit turned into a fun vintage-inspired 50’s look.

Bold Green and Pink Outfit
And mixing the bold green with the pink totally made my inner 13-year-old self very excited. The bright colors had me flashing back to the early 2000s. All of the bright color trends floating around the shops
The best place to find nostalgic trends than the thrift shops, vintage stores, and estate sales either. There is always so much gold there. And an authentic piece from the past is always much cooler than the knock-off version in the vintage world. Which comeback tends are catching your eyes this season?
