Discovering Vintage In Denver
Hey, Denver peeps if you are looking for something funky and truly unique to add to your wardrobe. You have to check out New Relevance Vintage. My new favorite vintage shop that is creating its own style. They are completely unlike any other vintage shop I have found. The ladies that own this company are always staying busy running around the Denver scene. Popping up around various flea markets selling their extravagant vintage. They have been at Old School Cool Market, Modern Nomad Denver, Horse Shoe Market, Queen City General Store, and more. So if you are a local you have to check out all the vintage magic in person. But if your not a local lucky for you they have a shop on Etsy. Plus they have been starting to sell special collections on Instagram stories. So make sure you follow along so you can keep track of all the goods they are curating.

The Embroidered Top I Couldn’t Resist
When I saw this embroidered beauty it was screaming my name. I have always had a funky/ bohemian/ hippy side. And this shop hits all the marks for my dream 70’s hippy wardrobe with global, antique influences. I simply styled this top with my denim mini skirt on a warm day with some woven mules. But I’m excited to experiment with this top more. And see what kind of magic I can create with this piece and the rest of my wardrobe. But I just love the embroidered detail with the green leaves it felt like such a lively top. The sleeves also caught my attention. The unique details made this top hard to pass up and I felt it matched my unique style perfectly.

What to Expect with the Sustainable Brand Spotlight Series
With this sustainable brand spotlight series, I want to showcase all kinds of brands that are approaching sustainable fashion in different ways. Whether that is vintage shops, slow fashion, fashion made of sustainable materials (natural and recycled), and hiring ethical labor. I will be updating my brand pick weekly. To help showcase some amazing business owners that are changing the fashion industry.
Trying Sustainable Fashion? Start with Vintage
I feel like vintage is a great place to start if you are looking for something specific or unique. There are always amazing local shops that you can visit in your area. Which offers a low impact shopping option that reduces carbon emissions and wastes from packing materials. Just turn it into an adventure when you set out to visit shops in your area. It is a fun way to get out of the house and see what kind of clothing is available. And you may be surprised to find exactly what you were looking for. Just make sure you omit the shopping bag and bring your own no matter where you are shopping. They are good to have on hand. Ultimately there is less guilt when you are shopping local because you are helping your local economy and small businesses.

As you can see there are so many benefits to shopping for clothing locally. Also, there are so many ways to shop sustainably. I hope to share many of the shops that I love with you so you have options. It is time to forget about shopping with fast fashion brands and get excited about sustainable and ethically sourced clothing.
