Staying Away from Synthetic Materials
I really aim to stick to buying clothing made out of sustainable materials as often as possible. Whether it is a second-hand item or brand new item. I make sure to look at the materials tag before I purchase anything. This is because the fashion industry is the second most wasteful industry in the world. We must think about the damage we are creating by the choices we are making when buying an item that is made out of synthetic materials.

Discovering Ozma of California
Ozma of California has become one of my greatest discoveries that carries beautiful clothing that is all made out of natural fibers. Such as raw silk, organic cotton, alpaca, linen, and a silk/linen blend. Their designs create a collection of wardrobe essentials that can be carried into anyone’s wardrobe with ease. And can be worn no matter what the season is. This brand is meant to personify a new kind of ideal. Their natural textiles celebrate imperfection. Wearing their clothing is meant to be a celebration of letting go and choosing to be yourself.

Styling The Raw Silk Kimono for Fall
I felt the need for a simple lightweight coat that provided comfort for wherever I was headed that day. A coat that I could easily throw over any dress or outfit. It is especially convenient to have an easy layer that could look timeless but also a certain western edge that I have grown to love. I fell in love with this raw silk kimono over the summer. When I saw Sarah Combs wearing it among her dreamy vacation rental in Joshua Tree it was a style I could not pass up. I gained so much inspiration from her laid back style. I decided to add my twist and styled the kimono with this vintage linen dress that I found on Depop. Then I added more of an autumn feel with the brown lace-up boots and felt fedora.
