Today marks my last summer style post and of course I had to end the season in one of my favorite brands Spell and the Gypsy Collective. After this, I will be sharing how I am transitioning my summer wardrobe for pre-fall. I had to pull out some boots for the first time. They were the perfect match with this mini dress. This dress would look great over some jeans and cardigan for an easy fall transition. Keep following my blog for more Fall wardrobe transitions to come!
This dress is part of the Jasmine collection that came out a few weeks ago and it has been my favorite launch this year from Spell and the Gypsy Collective. There were many pieces from the collection I wanted to buy like this maxi skirt in the navy print, and this top and skirt set in the creamy yellow print.
Spell is one of those brands that I am always going to love adding to my closet. Although I love having a timeless wardrobe I do like mixing it up with some boho floral prints. I love my wild floral prints, in fact, most of my wardrobe is made up of floral prints with hardly any solid colors. Which makes it hard to build different outfits with the clothes I have. That is why I am trying to add more pieces that are transitional through the seasons and timeless through the years.
Summer Spell Designs is perfect to throw on for any kind of adventure. I especially love when the collection has a lot of earth tones. They blend well with nature and the Colorado scenery, especially in the mountains. What I loved most about this mini dress was the vintage style flutter sleeves and the little button down in the front. I picture myself running through the mountains like I did in these photos. Just throw on some short athletic shorts underneath and some good hiking shoes and you’re ready for wandering the trails. I can also picture this being the perfect outfit for a late summer concert at Red Rocks, which you can see in the background on this trail.
Mt. Falcon Park has two access points. In these photos, we accessed the park through Morrison on the East side. But if you go through Indian Hills, there is also a western trailhead. Both of these trails lead to the same place but offers a little something different. It is one of my favorite trails to hike and it is very close to Denver making it an easy adventure from the city. Normally I like starting my day hiking in the early morning. But I have discovered that there is something special about hiking before the sun goes down. Everything is so quiet and peaceful. And I love seeing everything change color as the light fades away. Something I intend to experience as much as I can before the snow hits.
Reflecting on this Summer I am happy with how I took advantage of all of the free time that I had. We were lucky enough to buy a new car in May and that gave us more opportunities than ever before to start adventuring and seeing more of this beautiful state. I crossed the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival off of my Colorado bucket list and did so many things that I didn’t expect. I have grown and learned a lot about myself just from having the ability to explore more. Exploring to me is the most therapeutic way to get to know yourself. The buzzing of humanity can get pretty tiresome and I try to get away from it all every chance I get. I cannot wait for the Fall months and the adventures that come along with it. There is so much room for growth, and with the changing leaves comes even more change for me. I can feel that there are going to be challenging but with these great challenges, there will be even more greatness to come. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Happy PRE FALL!!!????????????
