Embracing the Changing Leaves
Our autumn getaway in Breckenridge this past week has been pretty spectacular. I was so excited to get up here and do some leaf-peeping, and although we missed the peak of the changing leaves we were still able to find some beautiful spots for hiking and adventuring where the leaves were still full-blown yellow. Fall is a magical time to get lost in the woods. The bright yellow aspen trees are always a sight to see and this year they had me inspired to brighten up my fall wardrobe by adding more shades of yellow like this gorgeous marigold dress from Son de Flor.

Son de Flor Dresses
Son de Flor has amazing dresses that are the perfect vintage style that you can wear in every season. I am a huge fan of linen, no matter what time of year it is. And I am a huge fan of linen dresses in timeless silhouettes. There are so many brands out there now that make beautiful vintage style linen dresses. Son de Flor will always be one of my all-time favorites. I have bought their short sleeve white dress and a long sleeve red check dress that I absolutely love to wear around Christmas time.
The yellow pinafore dress caught my eye as soon as it came out for the summer collection. But I resisted the urge the purchase it at the time. Then I could not fight the urge any longer when I really needed more yellow in my fall wardrobe. I especially loved the layering options I have with this dress for fall. It makes it a really versatile piece that I can style in my own way with many different tops, sweaters, and coats. There is nothing more adorable than a pinafore dress for autumn in my opinion and this dress is such a loved piece that I know I will cherish for many years. Be prepared to see it often.

Sticking to My Fall Wishlist Post
If you caught my fall wishlist post you can see now that I am sticking to my list. I try to thrift or buy items second hand whenever possible but when it comes to specialty purchases like this Son de Flor dress this is where I save and spend my money. That way I only have a few big purchases every month that I choose to invest in. This is a great tactic for treating yourself to new luxurious items while also buying what you can find second hand. This saves me so much money in the long run and I love finding a look for less when I am thrifting or shopping for vintage online.

Toast Hats
One other item that I crossed off my fall wish list was this rust orange beret that I bought from Toast. I bought this red beanie from Toast last year and ever since then they have been one of my go-to sources for hats. Especially winter and fall hats. These are the
