Denim Love
I have recently become a denim addict. I never realized how important it was to have a good pair of denim jeans sitting in your closet. Makes the “throw on whatever” days easy and more stylish when you have a go-to pair. Usually I don’t wear a lot of denim because I have a hard time finding a pair that fits right. My short body has lots of curves with some pretty masculine calves, that makes it hard to find the perfect skinny jean.

Summer Styles I Love
I started to become obsessed with the cut-off culotte denim trend (like this) because I could easily find a pair that fit when I only had to worry about the waist size. The culotte trend is breathable for these hot summer months. But sometimes in Colorado, we get cooler days even in the summer. So a good pair of jeans is always a good thing to have handy. Especially when packing for an iconic Colorado summer roadtrip.

Grlfrnd Denim
Grlfrnd Denim is a game-changer. They are like the perfect vintage Levi’s that you could never find. I splurged on the perfect high-rise style with a light blue wash, with the added interest with the shadow pockets. The cotton material is different than any other jeans I have ever worn. And the material is tight when you first wear these jeans but the more you wear the jeans the better material forms and fits your curves.
High rise jeans have become the only way to go for me. It is always the most flattering style on me and I enjoy the vintage feel when I wear high-rise. I will never understand how we wore anything else. Especially those all the low and extra low rise jeans that everyone got away with wearing in the ’90s and early 2000s.

Final Review
The pair I bought from Grlfnd is the Karolina High Rise Skinny style. In the Whole Lotta Love wash. The features I love about these jeans are the button fly. Which accentuates the high-rise look. The frayed hem cut off style is also a trend I love. Frayed edges always add eye-catching detail, especially when paired with cute heels and wedges. The slit hem also makes it easy to roll up the jeans for more of a summer style that looks great dressed down with sandals or chic tennis shoes. These are skinny jeans but with extra room to move in. I am glad I discovered this brand and I cannot wait to add more styles to my closet.
