The Must Pack Tropical Outfit Combo
If your adventuring around the sights on your Hawaiian trip the foolproof outfit I always pack in my suitcase is my favorite silk palm skirt from Amour Vert, a fun graphic tee, slip-on Vans, and a basket bag. It is my Hawaii style must-haves. It is the outfit that can take you through a hot tropical day of exploring the sights, and it is great for wandering around town. Plus it is a casual way to go out to a luau but not to fancy spending the evening eating at one of the amazing food trucks in Hanalei. Hawaii is a very casual place where everyone is dressed comfortably. So you might as well enjoy the comfort of island life.

Exploring Kauai’s North Shore
This was my second time visiting Kauai but my first time really getting to explore the north shore. The first trip to Kauai we stayed in Poipu and drove around the entire island seeing everything there was to see. But this time we were able to stay in Princeville. It was nice to visit the close neighboring beach towns like Kapaa and Hanalei. We really took it easy and explored the little hidden gems this side of Kauai had to offer. Unfortunately, the only thing missing from this trip was a visit to the Napali coast. The hiking trail and part of the road closed last year after some serious floods. So I will have to cross hiking the trail off my bucket list during my next trip to Kauai.

Island Life Is For Me
There is so much magic that this Island has to offer. I enjoyed every minute of my time here and really felt at peace. Island life really is easy to get used to. After a week of being here, I had a routine that I could easily see myself doing for the rest of my life and feel content. If only I could afford to buy one of the million-dollar homes in Hanalei. There are so many charming things about this little town. A beautiful beach, so many places to eat, the taro fields, rainy days, sunny days, and a thriving community. It is always hard to leave these islands and every time I go back it gets harder to leave. Every memory is replayed in mind until I can return again.

My Favorite Tropical Skirt
If you visit Hanalei for the day make sure to be prepared with the perfect outfit combo. My Amour Vert skirt has gone with me on two other Hawaiian trips and it is my absolute favorite. See the first outfit post here and the second outfit on Maui here. It is made out of the softest silk and does not wrinkle after sitting in the car for a long time. It is also a sustainably made piece that may have a hefty price but is worth every penny. I think I will have to buy one in another more versatile print soon, that way I can wear more often.
My light blue denim vans I bought at Madewell a few years ago are always the perfect choice for exploring any beach town. And the Amalfi tee I wish I could say I got from a trip but I just loved the retro design and bought it off a sustainable British clothing website Kitri. A great place for a unique indie design that is made out of quality materials.

And if your ever in Hanalei don’t miss the taro field lookout. Kayaking the river. Walking the pier. Eating at all the food trucks. Checking out the farmers market. And wandering around the charming town. Thanks for reading! I have many more adventures to share from this trip. Make sure you come back for more. Especially if you’re planning a trip or if your just a crazy Hawaii fan like me! Mahalo and aloha!
