I have been putting more and more effort into buying clothing from sustainable sources and I can’t wait to share what I am finding with you! I will gradually be adding more vintage and second-hand clothing to my wardrobe because it is such a good way to find quality clothing that is reasonably priced. There are so many different second hand and vintage shops and each one has a unique style. The vintage online world can be quite an overwhelming world to navigate if you are just starting to look!
So with each new piece that I buy, I will be sharing where I bought it so you can check out these amazing shops too. If you like my quirky yet classic style then you are bound to love these shops as much as me! Also if you want to read all of my vintage finds blog posts just use the drop-down menu at the top of the page and click on “Second Hand”.
This outfit is not vintage but the skirt was ethically handmade by a small business on Etsy and the black cashmere sweater was a lucky second hand find on Poshmark for $35!! I found this impeccably designed linen skirt from a shop called Vorgona, a little handmade clothing shop located in Ukraine I had waited over a month for this skirt to arrive so I didn’t get to wear the skirt for fall like I hoped. But this skirt was still worth the wait.
You can feel the care that went into every stitch on this skirt. It fits so perfectly and is such a perfect layering piece for the colder months. I can’t wait to mix and match my entire wardrobe with it! Maryna the shopkeeper is focused on linen baby clothes and household linens with a few women’s clothing designs. I hope she continues to make more women’s clothing because I will forever be a lifelong customer. You must check out her shop and see her recently added goods like the beautifully embroidered Christmas napkins.
Have you checked out Poshmark? I bought this JCrew Cashmere sweater for $35! And it is like new! Such a steal because I have never seen cashmere sweaters under $100. I have been shopping and selling on Poshmark the last couple of months and I am obsessed! It is a great way to make some extra money while selling clothes that are just collecting dust in your closet. Plus they have so many great quality clothing at great discounts. I will be sharing more of my Poshmark finds here on the blog too! There are so many good ways to shop ethically! What are your favorite ways to shop for second hand and vintage clothing? Let me know in the comments.
